These are carefully selected, vetted and well trained young individuals

These are carefully selected, vetted and well trained young individuals with the minimum of a first degree who demonstrate high level of integrity and passion for care work. They have been thoroughly trained with emphasis on person-centred care and are all certified First Aiders and Heartsavers (American Heart Association/Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa) with ability to resuscitate and use AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

---- IN ADDITION TO THE DUTIES OF CARERS/PERSONAL AIDES, ECAS:---

  • Assist in planning of itinerary of clients
  • Attend to business and personal correspondence
  • Act as escorts to social and business functions
  • Perform limited administrative duties in the client’s home
